Our World Explorer Day took us to Jamaca this half term. Across the school we learned about the country, the importance of tourism, the meaning of the colours on their flag (and the types of triangles represented on the flags) and the crops grown there. Kestrels investigated the fastest man on Earth- Usain Bolt. They watched videos of his world record performances in the 100m and 200m and then set out to time themselves in the 100m. Whilst they weren't yet close to Bolt's times, we discussed how, through training and practice, they could improve their results.
