Olympic Day

Today was Olympic Day. We learned about how the Olympics started and what the rings represented, before splitting into teams with our adopted country's flag. It was all about trying new sports and improving our existing skills and we ended the day with a whole school performance of the dance we had learned in groups throughout the day. For the first time ever, thanks to the CPD funded by the Sports Grant, 5 of the 7 stations were run by the staff on a rolling basis- this wouldn't be possible without the CPD provided to staff by our PE specialist and makes our annual community sports day financially viable going forward. We would really like to thank the 4 Eagles children who stepped forward in the afternoon to teach Owls and Kestrels (and Mr Charley) the dance, as Alex could only cover the morning- you did an amazing job! Thank you Mr Pierce for an amazing day.
